About Us

Carceral Awareness, Reform, and Education (CARE) Club is a Brandeis University student organization that focuses on educating the student and Waltham community about the realities and impacts of the carceral system. We put on campus events, bring incarcerated voices to campus, and facilitate conversations around carceral literacy and political advocacy. As our organization grows, we hope to use our connections with the Brandeis Educational Justice Initiative (BEJI) to develop opportunities for Brandeis students to volunteer for and learn from Boston-based non-profits that serve incarcerated and formerly incarcerated populations.
